LA CANCIÓN DEL PIRATA
¿Piratas? Piratas eran los de antes, esos tíos temibles que se jugaban la vida en alta mar por un buen botín. Como ya se dijo en la editorial del tema del mes, ahora cualquier mocoso acneico con pretensiones de genio informático, escondido tras un ordenador, puede robar música, películas, diseños y cuanto le dé la gana mientras su mami le prepara la merienda. Y le llaman pirata. Así va el mundo. Antes se robaban doblones de oro, ahora se piratean intelectos.
Atención: no intento jugar a la ardiente detractora de la piratería intelectual. Hay que ver por qué surge este fenómeno y cuáles son sus alcances reales. Y encima, creo que entre los nuevos piratas, al igual que entre los de antaño, hasta hay alguno bastante simpático y poco peligroso.
Los casos que os traigo hoy hablan, más que de piratería, de diversas formas en que se trata a la propiedad intelectual. Ved y piratead.
YOU’RE MY INSPIRATION
La Picadora nació en Granada hace aproximadamente tres años. En el periódico El Ideal de Granada encontramos la sección La Picota que se dedica más o menos a lo mismo desde hace poco más de un mes. ¿Somos inspiración, o se trata de un homenaje encubierto que no supimos interpretar? ¿Propiedad intelectual o apropiación intelectual?
A propósito: donde dice “agradecerla solución” debe decir “agradecer la solución”. De nada.

LOS CUATRO FANTÁSTICOS
Es cierto que estas cosas llevan tiempo y el trabajo de muchas personas. Lo que sí es realmente extraordinario es la cara de piedra que hay que tener para afirmar que fueron sólo cuatro los que llevaron adelante este juego. Yo misma aporté alguna colaboración desinteresada, y en el tiempo que pasé involucrada en este proyecto, conocí al menos una docena de personas que trabajaban en él. Según fuentes tan fidedignas como el mismo director de la empresa, fueron “varias decenas”, entre becarios, amas de casa y otros, los que intervinieron en la realización de este juego de coches que “quizás no es el mejor del mundo” (humildad, 1; honestidad, 0). Quienes se aprovechan del trabajo intelectual ajeno y se guardan el crédito para sí, no son otra cosa que piratas.

PROPIEDAD INTELECTUAL
Se acerca el Mundial de Fútbol, y La Picadora quiere apoyar a la Selección Española transcribiendo para todos sus forofos la letra de la canción oficial de nuestro equipo. Presten mucha atención, y no se sientan desanimados, que es muy difícil aprenderla a la primera. Con tesón y voluntad, luego de cantarla repetidas veces durante varios días, conseguirán fijar estos sonoros versos, que dicen así:

¡A por ellos, O-E, a por ellos, E, O-E!
Oí que sus compositores también ostentan la autoría de la famosa (y casualmente parecida)

con la que se ha venido vitoreando a los principales equipos españoles de primera división desde hace un tiempo.
Espero que su autor en jefe, el Capitán Canalla (nada es casual) haya registrado oportunamente este poema.

De todos modos, si miras atentamente el tono de mi sección, comprenderás que la confusión de términos no existe en realidad. Intentando dar una visión humorística a ciertas actitudes que me molestan, he metido todos los gatos en el mismo saco y llamado “piratas” en vez de “sinvergüenzas” a individuos de la más diversa calaña. Aquí menciono casos muy puntuales donde no distingo al que copia del que roba (¿hay mucha diferencia?) porque, EN ESTOS CASOS EN PARTICULAR, la actitud es muy parecida. No hablo de los efectos, sino de los causantes. Y en cuanto al “A por ellos, O-E…” el llamar piratas a sus compositores es un gesto de mera simpatía. Sería casi como llamarlos “atrevidos”. Es bueno tratar de leer entre líneas y no tomarse todo al pie de la letra. Un saludo.
